Bro Wayne Stanley - Update 7/15/11

Bro Wayne Stanley has been moved again to Room #488 on the 4th floor at North Ms Medical Center in Tupelo, Ms for extensive rehabilitation following the stroke. The telephone number directly to his room is (662)377-3488. Bro Wayne is making a slow but remarkable recovery. He is able to communicate and is now showing signs of remarkable improvement in his right side some 6 weeks following the pair of strokes. According to staff, he has taken about 55 steps within the past few days, which are the first since he was rushed to the hospital. Please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers and feel free to stop by and visit with him. He asked about many of his brothers today, personally. If you can not make it to visit with him, at least give him a call. I asked him what he needed most today and his response was prayers and support. He wanted to say "Thank You" to all that has called or visited thus far and asked that the others do the same.

Bro Wayne Stanley - Update 7/12/11

Bro Wayne Stanley - Update 7/12/11
Bro Wayne has been moved to room 495 on the 4th floor of North Ms Medical Center in Tupelo, Ms to undergo extensive physical therapy following his strokes. Wayne is alert and eager to have visitors, more especially brother Masons. Please make an effort to stop by and offer words of encouragement, prayer, and the comfort of brotherly love. This has been a physically challenging trial for him and an emotional one as well. It is during difficult times such as these, when a worthy brother truly recognizes the possitive impact that his fellow brothers has on his life and the lives if his family. As we all continue to follow the true principals of Freemasonry, and strive to positively impact the sacred craft, let us also be reminded of the obligation we have to one another and virtues that cement us. Best wishes to Bro Stanley and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Checked in on brother Wayne Stanley today and we had a nice visit. His wife said that he will be transferred shortly to the 4th floor for some intense physical therapy that will last for a couple of weeks. After that, he will be sent back to the 1st floor to finish up with rehab for 2-3 more weeks depending on his progress. Please make an effort to stop by and see him when you can or at least call. Wayne asked about several brothers in our lodge today. Also, please continue to keep Wayne, Chris, and their entire family in your prayers.

Brother Wayne Stanley hospitalized...
Bro. Wayne Stanley suffered a stroke week before last and was admitted to the Acute Stroke Unit at North Ms Medical Center in Tupelo, Ms. Bro Stanley, later, suffered a second stroke while in the unit. This brother is a long time member of Tupelo Masonic Lodge No. 318 F&AM in Tupelo, Ms and serves as Senior Warden. His son, Chris is also a MM and serves as Junior Deacon in our lodge a well. Please keep Bro Sranley and his family in your prayers. He has been moved from the stroke unit to room #176 for rehabilitation. You can keep up with updates on his condition by visiting our blog signing up for RSS feeds. We are placing updates on there regularly for those concerned. I have visited with him many times and he still "feels" the bond of our fraternal brotherhood. He needs to know that we are all standing behind and supporting him in his recovery.
